Award Winning Fantasy with a Twist!

Interview with a Leprechaun

We’re here today with Fergus O’Reilly, hero of the recently released romantic fantasy, Feeling Lucky, to discuss life, love, and how money plays into both. Welcome!

Thank you. I’m glad to be here. Though really, we’re going to discuss all that? I thought we were just going to promote the book?

Let’s start with the whole idea of leprechauns. I’ve run into a certain amount of skepticism over a leprechaun love story. What would you say to those people?

Oh c’mon. Vampires are welcomed with open arms, but leprechauns aren’t real? We’re ever so much more charming than vampires. You should stick with us.

Uh-huh. As a leprechaun, you’re something of an expert on money, correct?

Yes, that’s true. We leprechauns are the treasure keepers of the Faery world. People may be skeptical about us, but that whole pot o’ gold thing, that’s true.

But you also lost your fortune when you were caught. Sound like you might have made a mistake there.

You know that saying about unlucky at cards, lucky at love? I like to think being caught was the best thing to ever happen to me. Losing my fortune changed my life, and the best part was I met Megan.

At the time though, you were pretty upset. And you were pretty horrible to Megan.

Can you blame me? The Queen gave away my entire fortune – five million dollars! And I wasn’t horrible to Megan – really, eventually. We worked it out.

So, why would the Queen give away your money?

I’m not confessing to my mistakes more than once. You want details, you’ll have to read the book. Seriously, though, you do not want to be involved in those politics.

Hey, I’m trying to sell a book here. How about some details?

Please, your idea of a good blog is a treatise on Yeats and the Irish Revival. I’m funnier than that, teach! Besides if you want to know the real story about Yeats, you should talk to Seamus.

Okay, one last question. Do you know anything about my missing shoe? The one that keeps wandering into the garden? Fergus! Get back here!
